We relocated to South Florida with plans to retire, but that never quite materialized. One day, as we relaxed on the beach, we noticed a distinct lack of good options for keeping our beach gear organized and off the sand. This observation sparked an idea, and we decided to create a solution.

We took a plastic kitchen cutting board and cut four holes in it. Utilizing deli containers and red cups, we fashioned a prototype that could hold our lotions, drinks, and other essentials. To our surprise, strangers on the beach approached us multiple times over a three-week period, inquiring about our unique creation. This response convinced us to pursue the development and production of our invention on a larger scale.

Through further refinement, we added trays underneath and noticed that the table had eight openings, leading to the name "Octable."
